The Strong City Preservation Alliance is Proud to anounce that we were once again selected to be part of the Emporia Area Match Day November 16th.
We can begin accepting donations October 17, 2026. Donations can be made directly to the Emporia Community Foundation (Strong City Preservation Alliance) or by contacting Kay Lauer (620) 794 - 4452 or Becky Nurnberg (217) 827-0309.
Monetary as well as gifts of grain and live cattle donations will be accepted. Please contact Kay or Becky for information on donations other than Monetary.
All donations will be used to restore the historic 1900 Opera House either by matching funds for grants or other fundraising. We have come a long way in the past few years in the restoration of the Opera House/ Theater.
Over the past 3 years SCPA has had great success in the Emporia Match Day. It plays a big part in our restoration efforts. Thank you in advance
